I Was Sick of Feeling Exhausted and Did Not Want to Become Like One of My Patients

Depression, acne, gastrointestinal issues, low thyroid hormone, brain fog, mood instability, blood sugar swings, weight gain, sleep issues, and exhaustion… I had it all. And more.

As a mother of two young children, I felt I was past my prime. I was tired of strict diets that never really helped me and I thought that I’d never feel good again.

And then came the day I decided I had to do something about it.

As a Registered Nurse for over 16 years, who also has an MS in Applied Nutrition, and a BS in Business, I thought I should be able to figure out my chronic health issues on my own. I had all the education, access to doctors, medical advice, and medicine at my disposal. So why wasn’t I feeling any better?

I finally reached the breaking point when I realized that many of my patients were suffering from similar chronic problems as me and the common thread between us was poor diet and some not-so-great-lifestyle choices.

It hit me like a ton of bricks: as much as I love my patients, I did not want to become one of them, suffering for years with little to no real relief. I knew I had to make a change.

So I took matters into my own hands and decided to pursue my passion by returning to school, yet again, and obtained my Master’s Degree in Applied Nutrition, but with a different goal: Heal myself and become the top health coach that other clinicians trust to send any client, including the toughest cases.

I enrolled at The Functional Nutrition Alliance and graduated from their Health Coaching program. I then went on to attend The Institute of Functional Medicine Coaching Academy where I became Board Certified as a Functional Medicine Health Coach. Through my education in functional medicine and nutrition, I have finally healed myself and now understand the effects of food and lifestyle choices on a much deeper level.

I still work at my health every single day and have learned to create simple habits that help me and my clients focus on these four game-changing things:

  • Eating the foods that heal my body
  • Managing my stress levels
  • Getting quality sleep
  • Moving my body in ways that feel really good

After digging deep into my own health issues and finally feeling good and actually thriving, I feel like a completely different person. I feel energetic, in control of my life, and extremely positive about the future, and I now help others to do the same. It is what I love to do. It’s my passion, and I’m really good at it, too.

If you struggle with an inflammatory condition, poor gut health, weight loss resistance, autoimmunity, or you just want to feel better, I can definitely help you.

In fact, this is precisely why I created Inflammation Transformation™, my signature program.  Check it out and sign up for a free no-obligation consultation.
