If you have poor gut health, it can lead to weight loss resistance and a number of inflammatory conditions, anxiety, depression, fatigue, autoimmune disease, and many, many more. When your gut health is “off balance” it offsets many of the processes that take place in your body, including maintaining a healthy weight. When I say “off balance,” I mean a battle has started in your body.
Normally, your body and your immune system will do anything to protect you, but now it is struggling to maintain balance. Because of this, a cascade of inflammation has taken place in your body and you are feeling the effects.
We need to end this “battle,” begin to repair your gut, help you lose weight, and restore your health. That’s where I come in. I will teach you how to give your gut the love and support that it needs. How do we do this? We work together and take a functional approach to your nutrition and wellbeing, meaning we look for the root cause.
You will be the expert, after all nobody knows your body better than you. I’ll teach you the principles and tools you need to regain balance in every part of your body. You will decide where you need the most help and what works best for you.
In taking a Functional Medicine approach, we will focus on all of you, meaning these four pillars;
- Nutrition and Hydration
- Exercise and Movement
- Sleep patterns
- Stress management
We’ll approach your nutrition in a functional manner which considers that your diet can impact every aspect of your health and wellbeing. You will see that my approach is not a one-size fits all. Instead, it is a highly customized plan that considers your unique specifications. Whether it’s weight loss resistance, fatigue, or brain fog, we will use these symptoms as clues to determine the root cause. These could be related to not only diet, but sleep habits, lack of movement, or failing to manage stress.
